I can play Half-Life: Alyx fine on my PC, but my play space is like 1m x 2m. I would LOVE to play that game in some like 10m x 10m space or even bigger with a wireless headset. It just lets you do so much, and I always have to use the damn teleport to move around :(
I’ve tried playing roomscale games in a larger space and in my experience, it‘s worse than using smooth locomotion. If you had infinite space it probably would be nice, but even with 10x10m, you reach the end soon and then have to know which way you need to go. You have to be aware of where you’re standing and you’ll still end up walking into the wall constantly. Not worth it imo.
You’re probably right, but I would still love to experience it at least once.
