Word is AirPods was Ajax’s first choice but rejected them cuz he had “unfinished business” with Arsenal, and they’ll be back for him in the summer. No clue how reliable the source is though.
Now I’m sad
It gets me thinking - everything Arteta is building, I hope it’s all built to last. I’d hate for either this current crop of players to age out, or him to leave, and it all fall apart.
Obviously we all feel we haven’t yet peaked, but I just don’t want us to be playing Emery ball or rocking geriatric Sokratis in a decade from now
He definitely seems to be focused on having younger players in the hopper. He’s a smart guy and has learned from the likes of
ArsenalArsene and Pep. Hopefully people like Mertersaker stick around for a while too.Edit: damn it autocorrect!
Arsenal Wenger, manager of Arsene FC :)
Sounds like our academy boys + Partey and Tomi got battered by QPR. https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/players/arsenal-vs-qpr-behind-closed-28862620
It feels shitty to say, but if Partey can get us a win at the Etihad but then immediately gets injured again, that might be worth it.
PSA for those who were wondering where the gooner walrus went: https://mastodon.social/@poorlydrawnarsenal/112135860741235394
Saka’s pulled from England as a precaution apparently.
Imagine if he and big Gabi have both been playing with knocks and they come out firing on all cylinders in 10 days 🙏
forgot where I heard this from, but basically all players play with knocks / discomfort, just how severe, apparently.
@Astrealix @sensiblepuffin yep, remember Ben White has been nursing a knee problem all season
