(Bloomberg) -- When President Javier Milei defended the adoption of the dollar through a “free competition of currencies” in Argentina, few foresaw a brand new legal tender coming out of the middle of the country. This Milei is an interesting character.
The media painted him as an idiot and the public believed them. But he seems something entirely different. I don’t believe he’s an idiot he just got a different idea about how things work and a new government doing things different increases competition and might bring out something interesting, or it might crash and burn. I’m glad it’s not my government he’s in charge of but then again the country is in a real shit state so maybe I would have voted for him.
I really don’t know much about him. Can someone give a decent video (or article) to a decent high level analysis of his economic ideas for the country? Not lol chainsaw man.
Trump’s ‘getting bleach into your body to kill the COVID virus’ was a different idea. Dunno if it’s a good idea to let that sort of thing decide the fate of an economy.
How is
Relevant to Milei?
Edit: anyone mind answering rather then just downvoting?
What, and stop validating the leftism bias in lemmy? Where do you think you are, in some sort of free speech space?
