Final Result:
- FC Nürnberg 1:1 Arsenal F.C.
Bukayo Saka 7’ Jorginho(og) 62’
Arsenal Lineup:
Ramsdale(Hein 46')
White(Walters 77') Saliba(Cedric 46') Gabriel(Trusty 62') Kiwior(Tierney 46')
Vieira(Nwaneri 60') Partey(Jorginho 45') Trossard(Balogun 55')
Saka(Jesus 45') Nketiah(Lewis-Skelly 78') Nelson(Havertz 45')
So, what did we learn?
- The LB is going to tuck into midfield even when Zinchenko isn’t playing.
- Havertz is going to play the Xhaka left-8 role
- Jesus is probably going to play wide sometimes
- Vieira seems to be the primary backup to Odegaard
- White will sometimes play as RCB
First 90 minutes of the preseason done. Now @Astrealix get some sleep!
also reminder to self to do match ratings? or at least set a thing up so we can do them lol
You did excellent with the match threads. We’ll eventually have bots to do this for us.
Maybe like the Google survey for ratings? I’m not sure how that Reddit user makes the graphic.
Yeah it’ll be a google survey, and probably some google sheet graphics. I’m somewhat in the ORG (Online Reality Game) community on discord so it’s not my first rodeo making things look somewhat nice but most importantly legible on a spreadsheet
It’s fine it’s a friday so I don’t have to do free talk /j
Preseason, and a chaotic 2nd half with all the subs, but it seemed like both Lewis Skelly and Nwaneri both contributed more than Havertz.
It would make such a great story if one or both of them made it at Arsenal. I mean, it’s greedy after seeing Saka come through the academy and become a first-team star. But, if you could have a story with a player who made their first first-team appearance at 15… now that’s a story.
If there was a flair system, you best believe I’d be putting on 63 rn
Not sure if I am happy to have missed this game or not… either way it makes me excited to be in person next week.
Shoulda been there, Nwaneri is fucking amazing and Kiwior was great to watch as well
The academy lads looked really good, especially Nwaneri. Kiwior also did fairly well in the inverted LB role. Saka is just growing from strength to strength. Saliba looks like he hasn’t missed a step.
Interestingly, it says Jorginho own goal on OneFootball but goal from Okunuki on FotMob, dunno which is more accurate would have to see a replay
Arsenal dot com is saying own goal.
Cheers, updated the post. I knew it looked like an own goal, but got convinced by FotMob. Arsenal Twitter didn’t say it just said goal lol. Doesn’t matter, it was mainly Hein’s fault, but honestly if he did touch the ball Jorgi has to do a bit better there lol, as in not hit it in the goal XD
