I don’t understand why this is so true. I just got into Linux a few months ago and I have to constantly stop myself from talking everyone and anyone’s ear off about it. why am I this way? why are so many other Linux users the same?

Unlearning Windows habits, solving the inherent difficulties of existing in a Windows-centric ecosystem, going against the path of least resistance, is a challenge. Overcoming it is an achievement that you should be proud of.

That is so much me 14 yo! I kinda grew out of this or learned that most people won’t care much… Or I’m just a boomer now and barely care about anything.

I’m 34 and switched ten years ago. I used to gush about it but the honeymoon is over and I know that it’s not perfect, now I only mention it casually when it’s relevant. Most people don’t care and that’s fine, but sometimes people are actually interested, I’ve converted a few and helped some migrate. There is a risk you’ll bump into a closed-minded Windows fan who will mock and berate you though.
