    Linux has the GPL attached, it’s definitely political.

    Everything is political to some extent. If it seems apolitical, it’s because it’s reflecting political norms that are so established that nobody really thinks about them.

    The GPL is a license that ensures that something is and remains community-owned. In a world dominated by capitalism, that’s a very political stance.
