Like Trump, Santos never told the truth about anything, but remember that a majority of Republicans in the House, 112 of 222, voted not to expel him.
Well, why would they? Republicans don’t care about lying or pesky things like morals or ethics or the rule of law unless it serves them.
Because he’s a drag queen- at least, part time.
Gotta protect the children!
(/s. I’d sooner trust a drag queen around kids than a priest, or republican.)
That’s hilarious, how did I miss that?
I still don’t understand how any queer person can be a republican, let alone get nominated within the party.
Black either. Or brown. Or red. Or yellow. Gotta be crazy to live a non white experience in America and vote Republican. Crazy, or stupid. Maybe both.
Seriously, one of the few remaining platforms they seem to rally around is delegitimizing trans people, fearmongering against drag queens, and censoring any books that acknowledge gay people exist. The Log Cabin Republicans have big Jews for Hitler energy.
time, lack of caring, and mostly, who really wants to air that man’s dirty laundry?
It’s the Republican hypocrisy that makes it noteworthy, vilifying drag queens while (for a time) defending a morally bankrupt one within their ranks.
He never once told the truth about anything at all. He lied to a reporter about what he had for lunch. He lied about where he got his hair done. He was incapable of even the slightest shred of honesty. He also stole from every pot he could reach into.
There’s a reason it took conservatives a year of nonstop negative, embarassing press coverage before they did anything about it. They didn’t want to oust someone just for being a conservative.
The thing that made him was stealing from donors. That is the only thing you never do.
Other people’s money? Have your fun.
Our money? GTFO.
-the GOP
Which is so odd to me. I get that some are trying to play the innocent until proven guilty thing. But the thing is, we know for a fact he has essentially lied about his resume and won an election based on it. Every place I worked, you could be fired if they found out you lied on an application or resume. Why should it be any different with this? So even without a conviction on the legal side of things, they all should have wanted him out based on fabricating his whole life.
Because it’s one of them. What would happen if everyone would be held accountable for what they say? They all think “I’m next”
Isn’t that basically what Trump has been doing since day one?
Ah no, he’s deceiving his customers not impersonating them
Drag queen goes criminal straight conservative to skim off the top but dips too deep and gets caught. Just normal Republican stuff.
Man kicked out of bar says it was shit and he planned to leave anyway.
Details at 11.
Those grapes were probably sour anyway.
George Santos ousted from Congress after fabricating life story
No no no, the fabricated life story happened first, he was ousted from congress after a fucking year of lying.
But that’s what that sentence means.
“… ousted from Congress after fabricating…” The key word here is “after”
Edit: if it said he was ousted from Congress BEFORE fabricating his life story than your correction would be accurate.
Why are you being downvoted lol.
I’m not completely sure. But before I commented I was thinking it’s funny how many people up voted that comment.
Edit reply: if he got ousted when he first told the lies, that would have been more acceptable than waiting a full year. I hope you can understand the difference.
Of course. But you were implying the headline was wrong.
Nah, I was implying that the headline only told half the truth. Enjoy your semantic debate.
I mean, I guess. We can all see what you said, I was just correcting it. You’re the one who made it a debate.
My point is that it took a full year of hilariously obvious lies for any corrective action. In Congress (one of the administrative bodies of the country I live in) I’d prefer for liars and dishonest conmen to be excluded from taking part in governance.
That’s every politician.
You think every politician has as many blatantly obvious lies on their CV as Santos? For real?
Not as many no. But I do think most if not all are liars and the thought of removing someone for lying scares them.
Of course they are, that’s the second question on the application right after ‘if an infant was on fire and you just drank a big-gulp would you piss the fire out?’.
Don’t forget multiple felonies, including committing identity theft using information from donors.
I thought that was covered by the ‘R’ after his name.
And he wasnt even listed for being the most prolific liar in a building of liars… It was so those voting to expel him could show their donators that they think misappropriating funds isn’t cool, man
“I’ll make my own Congress, with blackjack and hookers”
and blow, don’t forget the blow
The hookers are likely to be more honest. A congress with Blackjack could be interesting. Okay, I’ll vote for that congress.
I was looking for the Bender reference, and you did not disappoint. 👍
Of course when this clown shows up on Fox News, or OAN, touting his book or offering insight into government, no one watching will bother to remember that he was kicked out by his own party for wild fabrication and fraud.
He’s definitely going to
tell allcash in on the scathing secrets in a book for the low, low price of $24.99. Chapter 8 will shock you!(*Written by notorious liar, publisher does not take responsibility blah blah blah.)
A million copies will be sold to a mystery buyer and they will sit in boxes unread
The conservative PACs will have no interest in it. They normally do because it helps their candidates, but I don’t think they care about Santos
I’m honestly surprised it happened. I fully expected Republicans to continue to embrace his fraudster ass until the end of time. It’s weird to see just how far away they’re willing to draw the line, though. Like, it was known from the start that he was a fraud, and they were all onboard anyway.
He fucked with the money. They couldn’t care less about general fraud.
Kinda crazy how much shit you can get away with before it has consequences
Still waiting for Trump to feel any consequences for the decades of fraud and other shit he has been getting away with.
Next it’s Dancing With The Stars and The Masked Singer.
What a grand country we reside in…
No, to hell with YOU. The fact that your expulsion was at all contested given the evidence of your flagrant lawlessness should be a damning indictment of Congress itself. They’re so used to crooks that they don’t see a problem with adding another to their ranks.
You have to be a real big loser to work in Congress. Ya gotta be an even bigger loser to be kicked out.
Also, is he wearing contouring makeup in the header picture?
Also, is he wearing contouring makeup in the header picture?
Probably? He’s openly gay and married. Some gay men use makeup. It’s his criminal actions that bother me, not his fashion chioces.
Why would you be a big loser to work in Congress?
Never steal from thieves
I wonder how cavalier he’ll be after the lawsuits against him and sentencing.
To real hell? Or made-up hell?
Yes.
You mean: the usual made up hell, or his made up hell?
He is going to create a better congress with blackjack and hookers.
One might call it Suspended Congress
Don’t go home mad.
But do go home.
