Sounds like Reddit wants you to just use Lemmy instead :)
Haha don’t bother, and I don’t think it’s the mods who are doing it. Pretty sure it’s an automated process. With millions of users and a constant stream of bots and banned users trying to circumvent the rules, I doubt anyone has time to do it manually.
use a vpn. you’ve been IP-banned, which is how they track you. also, clear your cookies, as they can track you that way, too.
They can even track you with browser fingerprints these days, and that is quite hard to prevent
ive already tried the vpn
Note that a lot of free VPNs are easily identifiable and blacklisted by a lot of websites. Hell, even some paid ones have blacklisted IPs sometimes.
Also remember, free VPNs are free for a reason.
Have you paired it with the same email address? Have you made the account from a PC or from the app?
PC and different email
I would try the following. Call your ISP and ask them to change your IP address, use a new, different browser that has no cookies or cache or whatever, and then make the new account. That worked for me. If you wanna get really paranoid about it maybe also look into spoofing your m.a.c. address. If that fails then I can’t even imagine how they would be flagging the new accounts
Browser fingerprinting is a thing (identifying someone by their browser’s configuration and fonts, amongst other things), but I don’t see them using that for bans honestly.
Probably not but I wanted to be thorough as I had been flagged when making accounts from different IP addresses as well.
