I am not really one to hate on teams or drivers for no reason, as I hold massive respect for each and every one of them. I love the sport, so I feel like having some hatred for a part of it is not really useful. But I have to say, from the baviour of Toto, to comments of Hamilton and on track behaviour of Russell, they have become very annoying in my eyes and seeing them lose has become more fun to watch than seeing them win. That’s obviously just my subjective view of things, but I just feel like them being on top for 6 years and being in the sport for a pretty long time, they would understand that domination is not easy. Instead, they act like sore losers, dismissing their competitors, shitting on the car (and in the same way, the engineers), and overall being extremely unlikeable. I am not even tifosi, but after shit Toto has said during Las Vegas, I am holding my hopes up that ferrari cleans the floor with them in Abu Dhabi and gets that p2.

Tbh I hated them and their better-than-thou attitude to corporate culture, self-improvement, blame-free, blah blah blah, all while they were the dominant team. Then in 2022 they don’t even drop down the pecking order that far, and it’s like every man for themselves like they’re all Chicken fucking Little while Lewis is moaning about how undriveable the second or third fastest car on the grid is.

Totally agree, gracious in defeat only when they win or get a good result, all things considered. I guess that is what you get by dominating the sport for almost a decade. People were so quick to consider Lewis the GOAT, I can’t help but notice the lack of competitiveness from him, even with a inferior car.

      “This is getting manipulated, man!”

I think that’s taking it a bit too far. There’s no denying that Lewis cruised to some of his titles because the car was leagues ahead of the rest, but he still has extremely competitive races even in a car that’s drifting between second and fourth best. And I’m saying that as not the biggest Lewis fan out there.

I’m in the same boat, and sore loser is a pretty fitting description imo. They gambled with the zero sidepods car, lost big time (though it should be said that other teams on the grid would have loved to switch cars with them), doubled down on it this season and lost again. This should have been a humbling experience, but instead they act like they are being owed P1.

Seeing Aston in the first half and McLaren in the second half of the season show them how it’s done was super satisfying. And I don’t hold much love for Ferrari, but I 100 percent want them to take P2 from Merc.

It’s easy to be magnanimous, calm, rational and fun when everything’s going your way and a lot harder when it isnt.

This came up before for them when they were really challenged or things got tense but for one reason or another the pressure was let off and things went back to normal.

Some teams (people) handle the transition better than others and F1 has easily had examples of both over the years, think it just means their a regular team.

Can you elaborate on this? Some clear examples? I did not find it so bad, what I saw was just mildly amusing.

I can’t exactly provide sources of the articles, but I do remember Toto and Hamilton downplaying the achievements of Redbull and Max. Saying stuff like “Max never had a good teammate” or “records don’t mean anything in formula 1”. These are not exact quotes, mind you, I am paraphrasing.

Russell has been turning into many drivers in the corners for a good while now. He is a fast driver, but imo drives like a dickhead

Also his arrogant comment of “everybody has a target on their back”. So narcissistic.

His aggressive response during the Vegas interview completely obtuse against the many mistakes of Vegas planing and ass kissing boot licker defense of liberty media.

His discussion with Christian crying about proposing.

“This car is undrivable lewis”… is a huge fuck you to all those “people back at the factory” …

Overall he has come across many times as pathetic, incompetent, mouth breathing, window licking , spaztic , bastard, twat , arsehole, wanker tosser, dick head, nob head, failed abortion, streak of piss, disgrace to the family name, inbred stuckup, poncy, nancy, chintzy, pillow biting, west ham united supporting c*NT! …but maybe I an thinking of Lance stroll…
