I’d say they won convincingly. They proved their loyalty to decision-makers while leaving ABC to be the bad guy.

True, but the boots they were licking belong to the FCC, who will now approve that merger they were hoping for.
It doesn’t matter, because they’re a corporation. They’ll keep trying until they buy the right people in government. Which is legal under fascism.
They’re also run by fanatical christians that will do anything to take over, including buying up as many local TV stations as possible to control all local news.
