Does it suck?
Yes, quite well in fact, but it’s very power hungry.
How do you like it?
We have a different brand that is holding less and less charge as time goes on. I have a bunch of Ryobi stuff already so there is a plethora of power packs available if it does a decent job.
Too early for a full analysis, but so far it has done everything I’ve asked of it the one time I’ve used it. Endurance may be problematic, power is not. 3 power settings. Figure about 20 to 30 minutes endurance on the pack it comes with on the default (medium) power setting.
My house is 1200 sq feet, hardwood floors, a few rugs, and fabric couches with 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 long haired humans. All of whom shed, a lot.
With the 4ah pack it came with, I vacuumed the floors and rugs on one charge but had to swap packs to finish vacuuming the couches. Had to empty the bin twice. The vacuum head doesn’t mind seemingly anything, but the bin is fussy about too much hair in it. It will stop and flash red at you when it wants the bin emptied. Our old upright vacuum had been dead for the last two weeks, so wasn’t surprised by needing to empty the bin frequently. Like I said, everyone sheds… A lot.
If you’ve a bigger place or wall to wall carpets, I would recommend investing in an 8 or 12ah battery for it. This thing is quite power hungry.
At least you can just snap a bigger battery into it, vs those crappy ones from Dyson or Samsung and whoever with the tiny little battery packs you can’t upgrade.
That was my reasoning when I went with the Ryobi. My wife rolled her eyes when I brought home yet another Ryobi tool, but so far it’s done the job well. She was impressed, but yeah, she’s right. The house is starting to look like we’re sponsored by Ryobi. :)
We have one major duty one too for when we do the floors. We use the handheld one like that for hard to reach corners, dust bunnies under couches, furniture, ceiling fans, and all that kind of stuff. Sounds like this would be a great option!
Is had my eye on this one for a while. Any good?
Power hungry but effective. Made a longer reply in another comment thread.
Giddyup!
It’s very pretty!
