Because home is at 127.0.0.1, not 0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0001😠

That IPv6 statement was made on a joke website, right ?
Next they’re going to state that BGP and IS-IS are useless protocols that only exist to make routers expensive and you don’t really need them “because you can just point a default route to your upstream provider” 🤦♂️Greetings from AS35701 🙂
I need a version with IPv4. IP-Addresses are not meant to be shared! IP-Addresses are not meant to be scarce resources.
“Hello, I would like to pay extra to have my own IP-Address.”
@mikrotik@mikrotik.social @mikrotik@lemmy.world ring network is da wae!
wait until you (and your servers) get placed in a subnet with limited IPs and you can’t even ssh because IP conflict

Ipv6 breaks url spec. Puts colon as a separator. It’s an absolute disgrace.
@licho @mikrotik@mikrotik.social @mikrotik@lemmy.world I still wonder why we didn’t just add another number or two to IPv4 addresses. Google could have grabbed 8.8.8.8.8.8 for their DNS and nobody would be complaining about using it.
@mikrotik@mikrotik.social @mikrotik@lemmy.world “It’s all proprietary cloud infrastructure and CDNs nowadays, so why bother with IPv6?” 🔥
@mikrotik@mikrotik.social @mikrotik@lemmy.world I ahahah, great joke!
