No one has heard from LJDawson in quite some time. He’s done this before, but this time has been longer. Don’t expect any help, Sync is likely dead.

Sadly this seems to be true. Gave him the benefit of doubt but he’s been AWOL for to long on a platform that changes much faster than reddit did. A lot of things are broken on sync and have been for a long time now. Trying out boost and thunder to see what I like best.

If he comes back ill switch back when things are fixed but there is enough competition now that its easy to move away from sync.

Fair enough, I’ll keep using sync because I found out how to make it restore my subscription but that’s unfortunate.

In the settings under ‘posts and comments’ at the very top there’s a ‘relay style navigation’ I think. It adds the floating navigation the allows you to jump up/down or through search hits.

In general, the app usage is very similar to relay already in most other aspects anyway, like up/down voting, swiping in most places to go between posts (if enabled) and all that.

Thunder is pretty close to sync. One thing I wish they’d add is being able to have different sorting methods for all vs subscribed but other than that it’s better than sync in that it actually does all the markdown properly
