During 2020 I moved states after leaving a job. Then I was seasonally laid off in PA. I didn’t qualify for unemployment because I didn’t work enough in the look back period of PA, and didn’t qualify for NY because I willingly switched state residencies and I didn’t work there recently enough.
Unemployment being left up to states is an extra layer of bull - especially for anyone considering un/employment numbers as some kind of valid metric.
