    If Gyorkeres struggles to adapt to the PL we (gooners) need to be patient with him. He’s really put himself in the line to sign for us. He gave up some serious money to make this transfer happen, and he also turned down some very lucrative alternative transfer offers so he could join us. Not many players would hold out in this situation to come to a specific club. So he deserves a lot of patience and support from our entire fanbase.

      He’ll probably do alright as well, honestly; he’s played here before, albeit only the cups and Championship.

        Yeah. Plus he for some good (non-penalty) goals in the CL against some decent sides.

        He’ll probably be under more scrutiny from the media than from us gooners. But I know there’s a vocal subset of our wider fanbase who have no patience.

      I feel that with some of the new signings. New League, different country, setup; they may need some time to gel and may be a slow start to the season. Fingers crossed we come out firing. Eager to see how they go pre-season!

      That’s fucken shit. You go through the effort to jump through their hoops and although they’re not obligated to, the least they should do is a quick email to say you didn’t get it.

      You could call to follow up on why you were passed over, if that’s something you thought worthwhile. Otherwise, I agree that you may have dodged a bullet.

    I’m back in the saddle for youth football coaching. It’s going to be an interesting autumn season since I’m sharing the responsibilities with another coach. Neither of us had quite enough players to form our own teams, so our teams have been merged together.

      Started from halftime since I couldn’t get back to sleep. Some of these ref calls are soft. Italians are just falling to the floor for some of the slightest touches. Italian goal was good aand been dangerous on the break, but I’ve largely been unimpressed so far.

        I mean yeah the ref has been a bit soft but we’ve been so shit I don’t think you can blame the ref on this.
