This is part of the plan. Small farms will be run out of business and then bought for a low price and consolidated by mega farms.

Big Agriculture wants this and lobbies for it to happen.

Yes but if the farm work doesn’t get done you are looking at the next thing which will be the great American famine, which I expect somewhere this summer. If the US food production falters and importing food is made very expensive though tarriffs, Americans are not going to have enough food.

It’s going to be like post revolutionary China in so many ways.

The idea is so badly implemented… you have to raise back Unions and decent salaries, what they expecting is that actual born americans will do the same job for the same shit money that desperate migrants who have absolutely nothing.

So in essence they want the new slaves to be US born, yeah fuck that.

Time for Mexico to pump up its own agriculture to supply the goods that will be needed on the other side of the fence. Labor is plenty now.

Mexico and Canada have been investing in agricultural infrastructure for decades now. The only reason that the U.S. farmer can compete is due to shenanigans in import requirements. Imports are held to a much higher standard than domestic production. It’s why the majority of foodborne outbreaks are from American production.

American farmers have been conditioned to rely on cheap labor and expensive equipment. There’s been only been minor infrastructure investment since the 1970’s.

Without government subsidies and cheap labor, the majority of the farmers business models in the us is not sustainable.

You mean that the job isn’t worth what you pay to do. They always pretend it isn’t the money. But of course its the money. If I’m going to work my ass off I expect better pay. Those immigrants were working their ass off for minimum wage and the farmers knew they were exploiting them.

Any pretty much any physical job comes with copious risks to your body and health, yet these types of employers typically don’t pay for employee health plans nor do they pay enough for employees to comfortably afford their own. Why would anybody want to risk severing a finger, breaking a leg, getting bitten by a dangerous snake, a nail to the hand, etc if they don’t have to, especially knowing they can’t afford the treatment and it could lead to lifelong pain and disability?

    Well this is good

You can’t expect a good end for the net negative incentives all the collectivist immigrant policies created during this time. Here is the backlash.

Ironic for petite that keto saying to have empathy for others, and yet everything they do keeps increasing human suffering.

    Great idea guys

Yeah let’s allow everyone to enter the country. Where will they work, how will they provide for themselves? What do you say? Not our problem now!

Ah but y’all knew the incentive was already there. People desperate for work and people in bed of cheap labor go hand in hand

An industry can’t be based on cheap exploited labor just like that

Now the guys who you hate have to undo what you did

Now they need to remove the incentive on why people come to the US in the first place and the ones related to companies not having actual consequences to hiring illegal inmigrants

Shit will get expensive? Sure, but it will be worth it right?

People will need to work more? Of course, every poor citizen of the us usually has to work their ass of. But now much more

The cheap food and goods festival over? Well, about time

You do realize that corporations don’t care. They will import foods and this will also encourage small local farmers. Some will turn to gardening and foraging which is like printing money with no taxes.

Mind pointing out where I did that?

Edit: Your downvotes don’t change reality. I still never wished additional suffering on you. But leave it to an American to instantly scream “YOU’RE WISHING MORE HARM ON ME” for merely pointing out what is going to happen to farmers, and is happening to farmers, from their own actions. For enjoying their own suffering, you know, like the entire premise of this community?
