#Accessibility is a virtue on Mastodon. There are quite a few #blind or visually impaired people who use this medium with their screen readers for precisely this reason. There are also quite a few users who neither favor nor boost posts with media without #alttext text. There are even users who use a css to filter all media without alt text.
