Be a member on the local union board . Believe it or not, there’s very few people who actually engages in that kind of work. You can easily have a say. Doesn’t take much time or effort, only the will and understanding.
It’s a lot more democratic than country politics and that kind of stuff. If you have point, it’ll make it through.
My country has a saying “esimene miljon tuleb alati mustalt”. It basically translates to the first million is never earned with honest work. No one gets rich by just working hard, maybe a long time ago but not any more.
