    “Attempted Manslaughter” is an curious term, manslaughter implies a lack of intention to kill, but attempted implied intent. Is this a weird translation? From the article seems a clear “Attempted Murder”, but maybe thats not how the German system works?

      He might have meant to have intended to have done it, but we can’t be sure just yet.

      Murder is planned. If you get in a fight and then intentionally kill, that’s still intent but just manslaughter.
      In this case it’s probably hard to prove stuff about his state of mind.
