Police forces stopped using flashbangs because they were legally restrained in many locales, due to a variety of incidents including grenading a baby’s crib.
I doubt they would have stopped otherwise.
I mean, we’ve had a lot more issues with flashballs here in France (mostly gruesome injuries but also several deaths) because the cops can’t be trusted to actually respect the safety guidelines, and the government is still ordering them by the millions every time they’re about to vote an unpopular law
