Libel tends to be deliberate, yes. You’re inventing motive and projecting it as hard as you can.

While calling for physical violence. If that’s not just banter, please eat a ban.

Meanwhile: flavored cigarettes had this same damn argument, for the same damn reason. You know addiction is hell - why don’t you care enough about stopping new addicts, to put up with nicotine that tastes like nicotine?

      LOL

Libel? For an assessment of toxic, pretentious self-righteousness?

That’s just about the most delicious irony I’ve ever encountered.

‘You’re secretly jerking off about abusing power!’ is pretty fucking defamatory, yes. You spat a pile of essentialist name-calling to make shit up about the moustache-twirling evil of… acknowledging that kids vape.

Should I respond in kind by insisting you’re actually a vaping industry shill with a sob story and some sockpuppets? Because that’s the level of discourse you’re glibly engaged in.

Dude’s treating people like inhuman scum for *checks notes* preventing childhood addiction, but sure, the problem is calling out that behavior.

edit: Chickened out of a cliche “go outside” to lob the word deranged at the fact tobacco companies already did this once. Not at the frothing emotional-shortcut insults and dreams of a big boot.

If laws force me to vape unflavored propylene glycol, I will buy cigarettes again. Tobacco companies know this.

This isn’t just about kids and stop using kids as your fucking moral shield for every limitation you put on adults.

This is entirely about kids. Nobody gives a shit about smokers who switched to vaping - even the US FDA almost endorsed vaping, because of how much better that is!

Why the fuck would you switch back to something that tastes even worse, costs a lot more, and physically hurts?

The only problem with vaping is that it got kids hooked on nicotine. Two generations barely acknowledged cigarettes. But suddenly you can get pack-a-day dosages that taste like birthday cake, and wow hey look at those schoolchildren blow fat clouds. Who could have seen this coming? Tobacco companies, that’s who saw it coming, because they did it on purpose. Again. Same as when they flavored cigarettes. Stopping that helped us almost wipe out smoking.
