US President Donald Trump confronted his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, over widely discredited claims of a white genocide in South Africa, during an Oval Office meeting on Wednesday.
Mr Trump said that white farmers are “fleeing South Africa”, playing footage to the room showing people chanting “kill the Boer, kill the farmer”.
Responding, Mr Ramaphosa condemned the chants but pushed back against claims of white persecution.
This is becoming enough of a pattern that I’m expecting that someone is going to come prepared for it soon. Like when he was doing that stupid thing trying to yank people’s arms towards him during handshakes last time, and then Macron just crushed his hand until it looked like he was about to cry
I suspect Trudeau winning the handshake-wrestle is one reason Trump wants to crush Canada now.
That and the way Melania looks adoring at Trudeau.
He doesn’t care about Melania. She aged out at least 2 decades ago.
He may not care about her but his ego definitely takes a hit when she goes googly eyed for Trudeau.
