The “problem” is that wind, solar, and batteries for overnight storage can now outcompete fossil fuel generation on price, which means that the patrons who back the Republican party stand to lose a lot of money.

It’s more that their constituents are exposed to a constant stream of propaganda which favors fossil fuels and the destruction they cause.

There is no real left-wing messaging machine that compares and can tell people about the harm they’re experiencing or the benefits of renewables.

Not really. Plenty of constituents are happy to get the revenue provided by these renewable projects.

With the tax incentives and batements with a PILOT, these communities stand to gain critically needed monies to support their communities’ infrastructure.

Austin doesn’t give a shit about rural Texans. They are literally suppressing them with this nonsense.

What doesn’t help is when they are fed crazy uncle BS rhetoric.

Not really. Even republican voters are pro-renewables, they just don’t think it’s that important.
