Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic is a cross between an automation game and a city builder, with relatively complex logistics for a city builder. I am particularly fond of the organic, demand-based logistical challenges of distributing resources to meet the needs of your citizens, and managing realistic mode construction.

The upcoming DLC adds more buildings, vehicles, and a tech overhaul to allow starting the game in the 1930s.

Edit: caveat for those interested in the game: it uses undisclosed AI “art”.

I guess it depends how you conceptualize the automation genre.

W&R:SR is light on the “lots of little buildings turning a few ingredients to something else” of the genre leading games, but it’s way closer to modded Factorio levels of logistic complexity than any other city builder I can think of. At least, if you’re trying to make it so you don’t have to micromanage your established industries. Logistics is such a core part to the genre that I figured this would be of interest to folks here 🙂

Nah, judging by your upvotes it’s definitely appreciated. I also subbed to the W&R community! 😉
