The photos are a quality that is expected with a real estate agent having a listing at that tax bracket.

If the photos were practical, that agent isn’t going to be of a quality that someone of means “deserves” to work with.

There is a giant psychological game that people in a sales position has to play and real estate mind games for high net worth are batshit. Imagine trying to sell shit for Patrick Bateman when the deal could not happen because they got the wrong impression.

I worked as a real estate agent, and you’re correct that there is a reason to have those items in the home for tours. You want the house to feel luxurious, open, uncluttered, decorated but with enough space for all the buyer’s stuff. You also want it to look like the previous owner was rich and meticulous, giving people a sense that they would have immediately fixed that leaky pipe or paid a pro to install the dishwasher. You bake cookies before an open house or a showing to make the house smell nice.

There’s absolutely no reason to take and post a photo of a close up of a little paperweight statue. You don’t need a closeup photo of cookies.
