Baby season is upon us!

This post was basically a solicitation to help fundraise due their upcoming baby season, so I’ll skip all that for you, but in addition to these cute GHO babies, they also shared some of their expenses to feed these little guys:

$10 can feed a baby bald eagle for one day
$20 can feed a baby American kestrel for one week
$40 can feed a baby great horned owl for one week

They do a great job, but I don’t like to do anything that looks like I’m asking you to give anything to anyone, and I believe you should support your local rescue first anyway. Those are your wild animal friends, after all.

Most places also usually accept drop offs of needed supplies, or share Amazon or Chewy wishlists if you don’t like to donate money. It’s usually all cleaning supplies.

You can also volunteer your time! You get to help and spend time with the actual animals!

I’ve decided to do that myself this year. I start next month, and am excited to see what the experience will be like.

I need to buy some gear yet, but I’ve already completed my online baby squirrel feeding training and am ready to take care of some little critters! It covered how to feed them without hurting them, how to fill out their medical records, and how to mix their formula.
