Cheaper, no added sugar, and just as convenient.

    Morning Porridge

    Ingredients:

    • 2.5 cups water
    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 1/3 cup heavy cream
    • 1 tbsp maple syrup
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 cup frozen blueberries
    • 1tbsp brown sugar

    Optional: sliced banana, pears, peaches, and/or strawberries, chopped walnuts

    Put the water and rolled oats in a sauce pan. Bring to boil on medium heat. Stir constantly. When the oats are soft and fluffy, and the water has mostly absorbed to a thick consistency (10-15 minutes), add cream, blueberries, cinnamon, maple syrup, and any optional fruit/nuts. Combine gently to not crush the blueberries.

    Adjust consistency of the porridge with cream so that it puddles in a spoon.

    Serves 3
