I mean surely if Yuki goes form consistently putting the VCARB in Q3 to struggling with the RBR car in the same season, it will have to be acknowledged that it’s the car right?

I like Yuki so I don’t want him going there and ruining his career. On the other hand, his F1 career might already be over anyway so I guess there’s not much to lose?

Side note, the Suzuka crowds will be wild if we get Yuki in a Red Bull. Maybe worth the swap off soda sales alone?

Unless RB keep Yuki in the main team and he keeps getting eliminated in Q1 until the end of season, I don’t think it’s going to be too detrimental for him. Liam and Max (and to some extent Checo) have already demonstrated that the car is completely fucked, no one will think Yuki suddenly can’t drive, and if he manages to score points regularly that can only be a good thing for him.

This. Yuki has no drive in the long term since he recommitted to Red Bull group instead of moving around when he had the chance during big driver shuffle. Also yuki has been formula 1 a lot longer lawson, hadjar, etc. so he will get the benefit of the doubt even if he doesn’t perform as he has a proven track record behind him. If he does do decent, it will mark him as an adaptable driver who can drive difficult cars and his stocks go up.

I feel.vcarb might be easier to handle than RB. Nobody has been able to tame that beast except max. Lawson did ok in bcarb and now can’t do crap on RB. Yuki test will be very I tweeting indeed… the only good thing for Yuki will be better strategists in rb.

Max has said in an interview this weekend that this is definitely the case. The vcarb is easier to handle/drive than the rbr.

Paddock sources say there is a discussion at Red Bull about it. That does not mean that it will happen. But that it could happen.

I am so ffn over seeing articles an discussion about these two! We’ve only just started the season. There is the potential for a really good battle for the drivers champtionship, and this is what all the bloody posts are about.

    Goddamn.
