9mm
Preferably none, but I guess the max would be when it began affecting brain function.
All of it, if it helps with neuroplasticity
1,000,000 ppm
Dr evil it’s 2025 there’s far more microplastics in everyone’s brains already
maniacal laugh

Plastic is very durable, will it make my brain last longer?
Also plasticity of the brain is a crucial function, if it benefits the plasticity that would be great too./s
“Will allow” is absolutely irrelevant, if it’s in the environment there is no way to control it individually.
It, checks notes, makes you stupid. Joking.
Thing is, we could control it if we took it seriously. So really it does come down to how much we should allow. At what point will we take action?
This is not a matter for personal action.
It’s up to environmental scientists to figure out how we can deal with it, and then it’s up to lawmakers to make regulations accordingly.Of course if you are in the USA you are probably on your own. 🤔
Personal action has to happen if you want the government to step in.
Please post a picture of the tag on the shirt you are wearing right now.
The overwhelming majority of microplastics in your body are polyester fibers, and most of those originally came from textiles.
I thought the majority was from tires. There are other synthetics that use organics for cloths. But yeah the shirt I’m wearing right now is virtually a plastic bag.
Tires are, indeed, a major source of microplastics, but tires are used outdoors, and you probably spend most of your time indoors.
Check your lint trap: those are the kind of microplastics you have in your brain.
Like I said. There is non synthetic clothing.
And yet, we’re both wearing plastic bags…
My point is that synthetic fiber is the area we have to focus on to address your primary concern.
we could control it if we took it seriously
I doubt that. It’s already too late. It’s literally everywhere.
There are processes to remove it from the things we consume.
As many as I have now? They aren’t coming out and I don’t plan to off myself because of that.
42 microplastics.
420 microplastics?
all i can do is 69 microplastics…
That’s the answer
You cannot choose what the world throws at you so the acceptable amount is the amount that doesn’t cause a problem
What if you have no idea what that amount is?
Then you either don’t know enough about the subject to do anything about it, or it doesn’t matter
That’s not true at all. You need data to tell you the long term effects. You don’t need that same data develop ways to regulate it and remove it.
You do need data to see the long term negative effects. People won’t regulate it and remove it if its not having a negative effect. So we need that data to make an informed move on what to do next.
So the question is how much will we allow before we take action
Either the studies will tell us how much, or until we feel the negative effects from the dosage of plastics.
We don’t know how clear it will be before there are negative effects. It could be alarming amounts. Ever see a smokers lung?

Whatever the oligarchs deem acceptable! They know best what we need.
6, maybe 7
I got some fucking bad news for all yall
What, they ain’t got that many? Fuck. Can I at least have one?
6,597,436. I’d leave the 6,597,437th huddling out in the cold.
Poor guy
at least 2
