First post on here had to be this:

I just watched the last episode of the first season of Silo on AppleTV+, and now I can’t wait for season 2.

I’ll keep from spoiling in the post, but be warned: there will probably be some in the comments!

So - did any of you see it yet? What do you think?

I’m thinking about starting the books. Just to get more from this universe.

Frekkin loved it! I have questions though:

    1. Is Sheriff Holston alive, is his body on the ground not just an illusion? Will we see him again? I hope so.
    2. What’s behind the big door under the silo?
    3. There’s so many silos side by side, what’s going on?!

Can’t wait for the next season!

      From what I can gather.

-Holston is dead. The helmets are modified to play a video to trick them into taking off their helmet. What you see on the monitors in the silo is real. The air is bad.

-Juliet noticed the video in the helmet by the birds flying at the same time from the video she saw on the hard drive. Confirmed it was a fake by putting the badge on holston through the projected/illusion of a rock there.

-The suits were designed to fail. The tape they use was trash and they knew it in supply, who had better tape, which appears to be what makes the suit air tight. Supply slipped her the word that they were swapping the tape on her suit. Which is why Juliet lived and put 2:2 together with, “supply knows best “ or whatever.

I’m willing to bet that the big door at the bottom is access to the other silos.

I’m also quite sure that Holston is probably dead. Along with everyone else, that went outside.

I had this thought last night, after seeing the finale. What if the other silos are open to each other, and only Silo 18 (I’m guessing it the number based on the key to the mainframe having number 18 on it) is closed off / isolated? Maybe because of it being the origin of the rebellion? As some sort of sanction. Or maybe to contain The Syndrome - whatever that even is.

I know it’s far fetched. But who knows? (Other than the millions of people who’ve read the books, of cause ;-))

Ooo I like this. Another though is maybe they had an accident with the drilling or just happen to be on bad part of the water table so the silo flooded and cut off access.

Alternatively could be like some fallout nonsense where one silo was selected to be isolated.

I don’t think most, even Bernard, who’s in the know more than most, knew about the door or the bottom of the silo. Which is weird.

It struck me that Bernard clearly didn’t know about the door. His reaction when Jules mentioned looked quite a bit like surprise.

OH my, I’m looking forward to next season

      • Holstein is dead, Juliette found his body and placed the badge on it, her helmet visor was showing the illusion video, but she realised it was a trick and found where his body was disguised as rocks
      • The big door under the silo connects it to other Silos, we don’t know why it’s closed or inaccessible, but it’s probably related to the rebellion
      • Lots of Silos must have been made for a big apocalyptic event, the city was seen in ruins and the atmosphere is deadly, which is why Juliette needed the good tape from engineering to survive outside

      1. It’s his body. The tape is the answer. When making everybody’s suits they used IT tape to seal the suit. That tape let in radiation or whatever and killed people sent to clean. In Julie’s case they used superior mechanics tape that properly sealed her suit allowing her to survive
      2. I would wager entrance to other silos
