More than one million Europeans have called on the EU to ban “conversion”’ practices targeting LGBTQ people, the results of a petition showed Friday. Story by August Hakansson.

Also important to note, though, that something not being outright banned doesn’t mean there’s a particular problem with it as legislation is often reactive. Not to say I don’t find a potential ban great, but the lack of legislation, at least in some countries, probably just means that it doesn’t happen and there thus has been no use for an actively prohibitive law
