When’s the last time of these sky rats swung someone into a wall though. I’d say that counts for at least 5 chips.

In Europe many countries have a mandatory sticker/magnet with a red “A” on white background to signal new drivers. You take it off after 2 years.
Harry potter, they all go to wizarding school (not that HP should be used as a reference for world building…).
It’s pretty amazing that the break line was perfectly symmetrical, allowing them to put it back together backwards.
The scales definitely don’t match (which is good, it would look much less cool).
Obi@sopuli.xyzto Technology@lemmy.world•We Should Immediately Nationalize SpaceX and StarlinkEnglish1·4 days agoYes it’s the right long term goal, but the US is nowhere near ready for strong nationalised enterprises, they would just stop getting funding and die. There is a requirement for strong, positive minded government and a shared understanding of the benefits of having nationalised societal services before it can work.
Olive in french. Boring word I guess.
Big pile in the living room, smaller piles around the house, and more yet in his room…
Obi@sopuli.xyzto Godot@programming.dev•[Brackeys] Make Beautiful Games in Godot - Lighting for Beginners2·4 days agoHonestly lighting principles translate regardless of whether you’re programming in Godot, unreal, blender etc, or whether you’re a photographer or filmmaker. It’s unclear if the improvements you’re looking for are about how to use Godot specifically or lighting in general, if the latter, then may I recommend studying general lighting information like for example aimed at filmmakers, remove the 3D component aspect because a lot of the content available there is made by folks that are very good at using software, but aren’t necessarily experienced gaffers or DoPs, and those are the ones that actually know how to light stuff to make it look good.

I’m not 100% sure with a leaf like this, I feel like the high moisture content would stop any propagation of charring, so if there was discoloration it would be very thin. But yeah it’s been hand cut so problem solved.
Middle option: the design was made digitally (by “hand” or AI), and then they used a laser cutter to cut the leaf.
The lines of the drawing definitely feel a bit too perfect for it to be fully manual, they scream “vector” to me.
Edit: I see now it was the surprise third option, they’re Japanese and it’s meticulously hand crafted (probably also folded over a thousand times).
I’m pretty sure you’re referring to the classic, “I’m literally the guy in the pic” (you’ll find it with that).
Obi@sopuli.xyzto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•why do some people put a space before a question mark or exclamation point?3·6 days agoI think the point virgule depends if you’re from France or Québec. I learned it with no space before it and seems this table confirms that. This similar one from a Quebec source seems to be saying you can do either.
Regularly when I’m alone in the car and I’m really stressing out I’ll scream so hard my vocal cords hurt. Feels good.

Obi@sopuli.xyzto Technology@lemmy.world•Front Brake Lights Could Drastically Diminish Road Accident RatesEnglish2·7 days agoNah not at all tbh, you can get very smooth deceleration with it and it doesn’t feel floaty or whatever, it does take a tiny adjustment to how you drive, you don’t coast anymore but rather you can finely control your deceleration by how much you lift the accelerator, it’s quite nice to be honest I always drive it in that mode (even if it’s not real one pedal).
Good eye!
