Not a new community, but activity is ramping up with the season starting in earnest over the Labor Day weekend. At this point, it’s probably the most active gridiron football community on Lemmy, but that could change when the NFL regular season kicks off in a couple of days.

No probably about it, and not even just gridiron football. A quick search on lemmyverse.net shows we have more weekly active users than even !football@lemmy.world (the biggest soccer community)
I wonder if there’ll be an NFL community that will become more active once the season starts up this week.
