What can I expect in the Oide Wiesn? We have wristbands already so we can get to the Schützenlisl tent, but I am wondering what else there is to do. Will there be a petting zoo again this year?
If you have been last year, there will be minor changes. There will be a new circus wagon cafe, if the petting zoo returns I can‘t say. In generall there are a lot of traditional, family-oriented rides, theaters and a Oktoberfest museum tent. Inside the three big tents there is traditional music and bavarian dances etc.
That sounds great, thanks. It will be my first time at Oktoberfest, so I’ll definitely check out the museum tent to learn a bit about the history.
Still, most people return to Oktoberfest year after year because of its unique, excessive atmosphere in the big beer tents, so don’t miss out on those. Hofbräu, Löwenbräu have a more international crowd, Schottenhamel, Hacker, Schützen more locals.
