Do they seriously call their president Bong-bong?
Bong-Bong Junior to be precise. He’s the son of the former filipino Dictator Ferdinand Marcos who stole billions of USD out of the country, and got overthrown in 1986. But Bong-Bong Jr. managed to gaslight most of the nation in 2022 and got elected to be president (and can now stop all investigations into the stolen money).
Bongbong, Bingbing, Dingdong, Dingaling are all valid names in the Philippines.
Okay, maybe not the last one. But the other ones are.
Can’t wait for them to elect a La-La. Or president Tinky-Winky.
