Apparently “high performance” refers to TSMCs 16nm process from 2013.
Anyone know if that’s fast enough for military applications such as guided munition?
Guided munition existed well before 2013, so obviously yes.
I’m not talking about analog systems obviously, but the up-to-date stuff like the meteor missile etc
Meteor was developed from 1997-2014. In other words yes.
What about Intel Fab 34 in Ireland? According to Intel they’re doing “Intel 4” (assuming its a TSMC 5nm equivalent node). Either way it should be better than 16nm.
