GOAT vehicle. It’s purely functional in pristine egg form. Bulletproof drivetrain. Comfy as hell, even by today’s standards. If one ever comes up on autotrader in good condition I’m buying one.

Had one that was supercharged and AWD. Awesome for rally, drifted so nicely with the engine low in the center. Rolled it once, didn’t even break the big windows, and drove it home. Couple years later it caught fire and the person who I left it with has probably scrapped it.

Edit: I rolled it because I went off a cliff, not because it highsided in a drift, it stayed flatter than a stock impreza.

Fun story, my mom got one sideways on the highway because of black ice once. And she was able to recover it back into normal driving. Beast of a vehicle.

Twas my first vehicle. Friend’s mom sold it to me with 300K miles on it for $1. It had a coolant leak that I couldn’t figure out and one day I forgot to top up the coolant and fried the engine. Later in life I realized it had been a heater core leak that could have easily been fixed if I’d known at the time. The ol’ girl probably could have made it 400K IF ID JUST KNOWN.

(Obviously not the one pictured, mine was white and I think it was a 92)

I miss seeing quirky cars. If only the cyber truck wasn’t a pedestrian’s worst nightmare.

I love them. The entire family across from me own exclusively Souls. So over the years, the drive way and yard will just have like 5 of them parked at once. Funny sight.

We had one of those when I was a kid. That was a workhorse of a vehicle. It didn’t deserve the bad rap it got.

These were unironically one of the coolest vehicles Toyota ever made. Mid engine, rear wheel drive, the two standalone seats in the middle row, magnetic clutch Supercharger. I think there was even a fridge as an option, like the Prado had.

The next generation is also pretty cool, the hybrids have Totota’s AWD system where there is an electric motor for the rear wheels.

I’ve owned a Ford Aerostar and a Kia Sedona, but the Previa is the minivan I wish I had. Mid-engine, manual transmission, AWD, and a supercharger?* Yes, please!

(* Not available all at once on the same car, so I’d have to do some swapping)

My buddy had two identical of these, or it might have been a previous generation, just some old school ass Toyota vans, but he had them both going and heavily modified. Until he set up one with the intakes and exhaust way up high and everything supposedly waterproofed and then drove it straight into the Salton Sea, notoriously saltier than ocean water. So then he had one van.

Theft proof … as a matter of fact people will probably donate money to you and your vehicle thinking you are some mentally challenged person in need of assistance.

Not quite the same, but you’ll be prying my imported 2004 Estima from my cold dead hands.
