Turns out marching four summoned bears across the map without their rangers results in a little bit of confusion.
The article has spoilers for act 1.
They may should patch summons. I had Wyll summon a imp like creature and didn’t notice it got left behind at an elevator. I entered a fight in a temple far away and then realized the imp wasn’t with me. I selected him and tried to get him to the fight, but the summon couldn’t open doors.
I am also a bit annoyed by that.
There’s a door in Grimforge with a fire effect preventing approach. But there’s a lever inside to open it. I had Wyll with an imp at hand and found out the imp cannot move the lever. Had to expend a Fly spell, which worked out.
How fun is baldurs gate 3? Considering buying it as this looks fun, but could also just be survivorship bias as I mainly see highlights. Is it worth the money?
It is pretty fun, some opponents are tough because you previously did something stupid or said something stupid to an npc, but it feels so rewarding whenever you make a fight easier by dialogue or having helped a certain npc 6 hours ago.
If you enjoy that style of gameplay 100%. The game is really well done and the passion put into it is very noticeable.
If you like computer RPGs and don’t mind/enjoy turn-based combat, you will not be disappointed. The game is amazing and has incredible depth. I rarely pay full price for a game these days (steam sales) but I pulled the trigger on this and do not have any regrets at all.
