Are they coming out of retirement for this project?
That’s the obligatory comment lol. No. They are not involved. And, as we all know, the last movie was basically just a big ass Daft Punk video so very little hope for this one.
I wouldn’t say that. They wouldn’t even have to leave France. Look up Carpenter brut’s turbo killer video. Tell me that isn’t basically just a light cycle/ grid cycle battle.
Cast your net a little wider. Maybe a track like Starfighter from wice. Nearly anything from Dance With the Dead or Ghost Data. Maybe full-bodied or femme fatale in particular. Anything by Night Club or Glass Spells, Faderhead, VNV (when is the future anyone?), or Gary Numan. I could go on for another hour but I’m going to cut it here. Daft punk did a bang-up job on the last film. No question. But there are plenty of others who could knock it out of the park as well.
Justice might also fit. Or even a collab between Carpenter Brut and Justice.
Health, Occam’s Lazer, Orbital, Underworld, Aphex Twin, petutbator. One thing is for sure. We are not suffering from a shortage of groups who individually or collectively could knock a soundtrack like this out of the park.
They should really lean into that angle, imo. Go all in on another artist and keep the music video vibe while also doing something fresh.
My personal recommendation would be French 79. Would love a movie with that vibe.
Honestly same. If they couldn’t get daft punk back they should have gotten somebody else to do a unified soundtrack like we got for the last movie.
Visually and audibly its just fantastic to consume that movie

As mentioned in the article, no one from the first two seem to be involved with this third film. Is there any form of connection to the other two?
From what im seeing its going to be a pseudo reboot, ala Fantastic Beasts from HP
Still no sign of Bruce, maybe a small cameo? It was pretty fun having him back for Tron in Kingdom Hearts
If we at least get a 4K remaster of Tron Legacy with this launch I’ll be happy
