Article may be full of shit. Really you can write any old rubbish if you include the words ‘may have’ or ‘may be’ can’t you.

My issue wasn’t with the source, but with the physics defying length of the bow being drawn here. I’m far from an expert so maybe someone can correct me but I don’t understand why these articles are trying so hard to conflate a chemical weapons test with a nuclear test? They are very careful about the wording here and it seems to be implying something that’s just…not the case.

Also who’s afraid of a new arms race? Russia is being defeated with decades old weapons, what kind of race are we talking about exactly?

Again, just a laymans take here so please correct me because I’m probably missing some nuance or maybe it’s ignorance on my part but frankly I found it hard to take this seriously.

You are right, media does push to the extremes, to sell for views. You are not wrong in your assertions. Hope updated article is better.

Russia and Putin, I do not see him losing face inUkraine as a way to calm the conflict though…

Is the goal to help force regime change… (But as some have pointed, will the person that replaces him help lessen tensions or increase them) or to foce peace talks again?

The conflict will be calmed when Russia is defeated and out of Ukraine. They themselves have proven anything less than that will just prolong hostilities.

Either way let’s hope the conflict ends swiftly and finally but it’s definitely feeling like it will be a while before it’s settled and the rebuilding can start.

It just seems similar to what happened in the Middle East…endless wars and death for 20+years.

Yes, That would be the best option, for conflicts to end swiftly.
