According to the Ewok Adventure movies and the cartoon, there is a witch living on Endor. So any time you see something like that, a witch did it.
Picture this: a group of Ewok tailors who became famous designers after Leia helped them open a shop on Coruscant in order to bring in refugees.
And one of those tailors helped fake up a Cardassian optolithic data rod
